Today we are reading and discussing a poem about what God has offered us and 2 new poems written for today’s podcast.
We’ll start with a poem from God’s Rhyme, on page 106.
JOHN 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.” (NIV)
God loved us,
He gave us,
His only Son,
For everyone,
Who believes
In His Son
Should not,
Will not,
Perish,
But have
Life
Everlasting.
What could be more poetic,
More comforting than this?
No words of yours or mine
Could convey love like His.
Gave His son,
Whoever believes,
Life everlasting,
There is nothing,
Not a thing,
Left to say.
Except,
Thank you Lord
For Your love.
Reflection:
So, one day I thought I could make god's love for us sound more poetic, make it sound more . . . whatever that it is in the Bible. I couldn't and happily admit it. The work of God in human hands . . . It should be left in God's hands.
Discussion:
THE PRAYER ROAD
The time has come,
At least for some,
To kneel in prayer
For what is there.
‘tis not the end,
Hearts left to mend,
Once having heard
Through prayer a word.
In the race we run,
Is the shining Son,
Filling us with love
As we look above.
The road we take,
That God did make,
Follow through faith
Knowing His grace.
It is not goodbye,
No question of why.
We did kneel and pray.
He will lead the way,
And in knowing Him,
So we will follow. tcarter, 4/9,10/2023
Discussion:
NOT PERFECT
Not perfect, but willing.
God continues instilling,
My soul constantly filling.
I look to the skies,
Wipe tears from my eyes,
Answering my whys.
Not perfect on this earth,
Yet I have found my worth,
That began with a birth.
Not perfect today,
So again I pray
I follow God’s way.
I am not perfect in my present life,
but God is perfect and Jesus will
lead me to perfection. (tcarter, 4/11/2023)
Discussion:
As we come to the end of today’s podcast, let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father, Dave, I thank you for the time You have given us to record these podcasts. Through this time, we both have experienced growth in our faith and the need for You in our lives. We hope that we have been able to touch at least a few listeners when they needed to hear what You have done in our lives and the patience You have had with us during this time, and before, in our lives. We know that this is not the end of our days with You. We trust in You, knowing that if we are open to Your will for our lives, tomorrow, at its worst, will be better because of You, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
We pray for those who have listened to a podcast or a few that they feel their presence in their lives as they have given their lives to You through Your Son Jesus.
You are a mighty God, The one true God, Your love is perfect. Thank You Father for Your Son, Jesus, and Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for the blessings you have bestowed on us,
We pray in the name of Jesus.
Amen
And may we remember the words from 2 Corinthians, 12:9;
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you,
my power is perfect in weakness.”
At the beginning and at the end
And every moment in between,
May our strength be for His strength
So His perfection may be seem.
(from God Still Rhymes, Concluding Prayer)
We pray in the name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer.
Amen (2/26/23)

[00:00:04] If you give him the time, as you live, it's work rhymes.
[00:00:09] Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Poetry of Christian Faith, formerly known as the podcast,
[00:00:17] Living in God's Rine. My name is Dave.
[00:00:21] Hello everyone, my name is Tim and welcome to the podcast and we're glad you're here.
[00:00:29] Oh, I hope that's today. You enjoy what we have to offer. Yes. So speaking of today, what are we talking about today too?
[00:00:39] Well, we're going to have three poems.
[00:00:45] One of them is from God's Rine and it is about what God has offered us.
[00:00:53] And it's comes from Bible verse that I'm sure at least us older people who I
[00:01:05] swit ball are familiar with.
[00:01:07] His lines were in the stands.
[00:01:09] Yeah.
[00:01:10] And the last two are poems that I wrote.
[00:01:14] Excuse me, specifically for today's podcast.
[00:01:20] I have written a lot lately, but I, one of the words, the first line came to me weeks ago.
[00:01:31] And I've wanted to do something with it.
[00:01:33] I was finally able to and the other one just as I was putting off writing the other one that I had the first line to.
[00:01:42] The words came to me for that one.
[00:01:46] So that's what we're going to do.
[00:01:49] It's, let's talk about how I think off three poems.
[00:01:56] We'll follow one another in an order that shows God's love for us and his care for us through other days.
[00:02:10] The first poem is on page 106 from God's Rine.
[00:02:17] And it is titled John 316 and from the Bible, that verse,
[00:02:27] for God's love the world that He gave His only be gotten son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
[00:02:38] God loves us. He gave us His only son for everyone who believes in His son.
[00:02:44] Should not perish but have life everlasting.
[00:02:49] What could be more poetic or comforting than this?
[00:02:53] No words of ours are mine. You could convey love like his.
[00:02:57] He gave his son, whoever believes life everlasting.
[00:03:01] There is nothing, not a thing left to say except thank you Lord for your love.
[00:03:07] Read the reflection it's in the book.
[00:03:17] It says, so one day I thought I could make God's love for us,
[00:03:21] Psalm more poetic, make it Psalm more whatever that it is in the Bible.
[00:03:26] I couldn't.
[00:03:29] And I have, I have a little minute.
[00:03:32] The work of God in human hands should be left in God's hands.
[00:03:37] Yeah.
[00:03:41] So yeah, it's just you take that verse and it's, I'm going to send in conferences
[00:03:52] and encompasses everything that God will do for us when we believe in His son Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
[00:04:01] And it's a love that is beyond all understanding of human kind.
[00:04:08] Yes, I think it was that.
[00:04:11] I love the, the last stands I accept.
[00:04:16] Thank you Lord for your love.
[00:04:19] That just, I don't know that really speaks to me.
[00:04:23] So again, it's the whole song, the whole poem is excellent really good.
[00:04:27] Yeah, well I, you know, nothing in there is a square.
[00:04:31] When I think about it years later, there is nothing not a thing left to say.
[00:04:36] It's always thank you to say and that's a constant thing every day.
[00:04:41] Yeah.
[00:04:42] But as far as what God has done for us, that's right there.
[00:04:46] Yeah.
[00:04:47] Very amazing.
[00:04:48] Amazing what He can do for us.
[00:04:50] Yes.
[00:04:51] And what He has already done.
[00:04:56] And continues to do and will do.
[00:04:58] Yeah.
[00:04:59] Let's be hopeful for the future.
[00:05:03] Yeah, as a believer, yeah.
[00:05:06] We have hope and in Jesus and His death and resurrection.
[00:05:12] That gives us our hope for eternity and heaven.
[00:05:15] Yeah.
[00:05:16] Without that,
[00:05:18] Well, I don't know.
[00:05:23] I look back at the year before I truly accepted Jesus as my Savior.
[00:05:29] And they were younger years and I, you know, stayed out of trouble.
[00:05:34] But I'm sure they could have been better than they were on thankfully word worse than they were.
[00:05:41] Because they're pretty good on the other.
[00:05:43] I think it was part.
[00:05:45] Yeah.
[00:05:46] But no, annoying him so much better.
[00:05:50] Oh, yeah.
[00:05:51] Yeah.
[00:05:52] And I mean, it's not hopefully half.
[00:05:53] Yeah.
[00:05:54] We've talked about it.
[00:05:55] It's the past podcast.
[00:05:56] I mean, my life is so much better now that I'm.
[00:05:59] So much culture to dad than I was.
[00:06:01] Yeah.
[00:06:02] I want to years ago.
[00:06:03] Yeah.
[00:06:04] I noticed quite the King or you.
[00:06:05] Or 30 years ago when mom and dad died,
[00:06:07] I was not a happy man then with.
[00:06:10] Oh, how are you?
[00:06:12] Yeah.
[00:06:13] But you know what, that's for another time.
[00:06:15] Yeah.
[00:06:16] But now heck, man.
[00:06:17] I just.
[00:06:18] Another day of thinking about well because I'm going on vacation folks and.
[00:06:23] And it was like, I wasn't.
[00:06:25] I didn't have any plans.
[00:06:27] And I had.
[00:06:29] On my way to work.
[00:06:30] I had my chat with God.
[00:06:32] Like I always do.
[00:06:33] And so, you know, or I think I need this vacation.
[00:06:36] Now, I'm not sure what I want to do.
[00:06:38] All of a sudden.
[00:06:40] Later there.
[00:06:42] Later that day.
[00:06:43] I started having ideas on what I want to go do.
[00:06:47] And it's just, it's so amazing to me.
[00:06:50] You know, that's why.
[00:06:51] Yeah.
[00:06:52] I'm always amazed at what you can do for us.
[00:06:55] Well, and as you're talking about it before the podcast.
[00:06:59] It sounds like he's leading you to another place away from where you are right now.
[00:07:06] Yeah.
[00:07:07] But one of peace where you have the time to be with him.
[00:07:11] And relax and get away from the hustle and bust of your God.
[00:07:15] Then we're all around you.
[00:07:16] Yeah.
[00:07:17] It looks forward to him.
[00:07:19] Yeah.
[00:07:20] Yeah.
[00:07:21] And I am looking forward to time with him.
[00:07:22] I'm taking the Bible with me.
[00:07:24] And I will probably leave the computers at home.
[00:07:31] I'll take my phone, of course.
[00:07:33] You have to take your phone.
[00:07:35] Yeah.
[00:07:36] To take my phone.
[00:07:37] You're just an hour or no.
[00:07:38] Yeah.
[00:07:39] But you know what I thought about because I'd read it out well or something,
[00:07:42] I want to get done.
[00:07:43] I don't know.
[00:07:44] I'll be just go.
[00:07:45] I don't watch the water for a day.
[00:07:47] Yeah.
[00:07:48] I go watch the water for a day.
[00:07:49] Look at what God has created in the ocean.
[00:07:52] Yes.
[00:07:53] Excuse me.
[00:07:54] I apologize.
[00:07:55] I thought of you last night.
[00:07:57] Over here in Orlando last night we had some thunderstorms come through.
[00:08:05] And the clouds as they were rolling in made me think about how we, you're, you know,
[00:08:09] your love for clouds and and in a lightning that was above the clouds.
[00:08:14] He was going a horizontal line.
[00:08:18] And it was fun to stand there and watch because it wasn't quite raining yet.
[00:08:23] And it was in, I was in a situation where I was outside for an hour.
[00:08:28] But nothing much to do.
[00:08:30] And I shouldn't say that about work.
[00:08:33] But it was, it's just sales at much.
[00:08:38] But it was, it was so cool to see.
[00:08:40] But only God can do that.
[00:08:42] That was my first time.
[00:08:43] Oh, yeah.
[00:08:44] But yeah.
[00:08:45] The show we put on.
[00:08:47] You're anywhere you're looking the world.
[00:08:49] You can find the wonder that he's created.
[00:08:51] Yeah.
[00:08:52] Wonder that is there.
[00:08:53] Even in those, you know, you're taking, we all don't,
[00:08:56] we don't want to hear thunder and see lightning.
[00:08:58] Right.
[00:08:59] And the damage you can do.
[00:09:01] But there's, there is that, there are times when there's beauty in it.
[00:09:05] Absolutely. Yeah.
[00:09:07] Absolutely.
[00:09:08] Yeah. I mean, I mean, I, I love the sound that thunder makes.
[00:09:14] Mmm.
[00:09:15] It just,
[00:09:17] it's odd but it relaxes me.
[00:09:20] It shouldn't.
[00:09:22] You know, I'm such, it's interesting.
[00:09:24] Yeah.
[00:09:25] I've never heard anyone put it that way before.
[00:09:27] Well, it just, I hear that and I go, okay, that's sit back relax because you're not going to be going anywhere.
[00:09:32] Doing anything in a thunderstorm really.
[00:09:35] And I get to sit back and relax.
[00:09:37] Especially if I'm not at work sit back relax and I open all the curtains.
[00:09:43] You know, I'll go sit out on a deck or on a back porch here as long as I'm not getting all wet.
[00:09:49] And just listen to the thunder and watch it rain.
[00:09:52] Yeah.
[00:09:53] Anyways, I like water.
[00:09:55] I'm wishing move on from that. I'm sorry.
[00:09:57] Yeah, well, you grew up in the Great Lakes State.
[00:10:02] That's true.
[00:10:03] You got a lot of water.
[00:10:05] I miss it when I'm not near it or at least relatively close to it.
[00:10:09] I really, really do.
[00:10:10] I found that out.
[00:10:11] I really, really do.
[00:10:12] It's amazing.
[00:10:14] Yeah.
[00:10:15] All right, moving on.
[00:10:16] Yep.
[00:10:17] This poem is titled The Prayer Road.
[00:10:22] The time has come at least for some to kneel in prayer for what is there.
[00:10:28] It does not the end.
[00:10:30] Hearts left to mend once having heard through prayer a word.
[00:10:34] And the race, we won, is the shining sun,
[00:10:37] filling us with love as we look above.
[00:10:40] The road we take to God did make follow through faith,
[00:10:44] knowing His grace.
[00:10:46] It is not good by no question of why we get kneel in prayer.
[00:10:52] He will lead us the way and in knowing Him, so we will follow.
[00:10:58] I was like a degree to last two stances again.
[00:11:02] Yeah.
[00:11:04] It is not good by no question of why we need to pray, kneel in prayer.
[00:11:10] You will lead the way and in knowing Him, so we will follow.
[00:11:17] Yeah.
[00:11:18] That's, I think it's a continuation of what we read in the first poem.
[00:11:31] Yeah, I agree.
[00:11:33] It's like it just rolled right into it.
[00:11:35] Yeah, once we accept Christ since our Savior,
[00:11:39] we pray as we go down the road, we learn prayer.
[00:11:44] Not just in the morning, every one of the way up for people who would have been a night,
[00:11:48] but I guess it's for most Christians.
[00:11:52] It's throughout the day.
[00:11:53] There's times that you just stop and say, I need to pray.
[00:11:56] Yeah.
[00:11:57] And it's not about always about a prayer for yourself.
[00:12:00] My adventure also, I guess or to believe that it's for someone else.
[00:12:07] Or another situation, but I'll talk.
[00:12:12] It has had told us in one of his, right?
[00:12:17] In one of his episodes that to pray without ceasing.
[00:12:22] Yeah.
[00:12:24] And that constant reminder of God's presence.
[00:12:30] I have found has made my face stronger also.
[00:12:34] Yeah.
[00:12:36] Yeah, we talked about Paul and pray without ceasing last week.
[00:12:40] Yeah.
[00:12:41] I do not know if we mentioned it a few times before.
[00:12:44] Yeah, absolutely.
[00:12:46] Yeah.
[00:12:47] And I have to tell you one other thing about these two poems.
[00:12:49] Yeah.
[00:12:51] I was trying to write in a certain way so that I would have the rhymes.
[00:13:02] And that I would have it with I am big pentameter, which to me the easiest way to understand is.
[00:13:14] Same number of syllables in each line.
[00:13:17] These are the two lines at rhyme, right?
[00:13:20] Which explain why you hear it and then you look at it and writing.
[00:13:26] It's written down.
[00:13:28] So many things.
[00:13:29] Well, he could use another word to help explain other.
[00:13:32] My whole was somewhat selfish.
[00:13:37] Yeah.
[00:13:38] And one need to get something written that was written this way.
[00:13:45] And this is what happened.
[00:13:47] Yeah.
[00:13:48] I hope that the message got through.
[00:13:50] Get through.
[00:13:51] Well, if not that I go back and I look at it.
[00:13:55] It is.
[00:13:59] But was the first one.
[00:14:02] The first one?
[00:14:03] Yeah.
[00:14:04] I think the first one was wasn't.
[00:14:07] The first John, John 360?
[00:14:09] Yeah.
[00:14:10] No, that was just, you know, the word just they came.
[00:14:15] Right.
[00:14:16] Right.
[00:14:17] It's close to it.
[00:14:19] I'm looking at it first.
[00:14:23] Stanza and you got three, four and two syllables.
[00:14:27] Right.
[00:14:28] Right.
[00:14:29] Yeah.
[00:14:30] Well, actually one because one line is simply the word life.
[00:14:33] Yeah.
[00:14:34] Those were just the thoughts that I was as a king to my mind.
[00:14:38] And I had written down.
[00:14:40] No, it's strange.
[00:14:42] I'm finding a lot of poetry today.
[00:14:44] I'm seeing someone at home Facebook.
[00:14:48] That is actually written like prose written out and it's got periods at the end of the sentences.
[00:14:54] Right.
[00:14:55] Which I should include, but I don't always.
[00:14:57] Because I'm a poet.
[00:14:58] It's a decent second.
[00:14:59] I use as a poet.
[00:15:01] Yeah.
[00:15:02] And then others are.
[00:15:04] Yeah.
[00:15:11] There's, they're just not what.
[00:15:15] I always what I looked as what poetry was.
[00:15:18] I'm not saying that they're not, they're not interesting and useful to read.
[00:15:24] But it's just, I think all of us poets have, of course we have our own style.
[00:15:31] And if people like it, why then?
[00:15:36] Yeah.
[00:15:37] We're blessed by that.
[00:15:38] Absolutely.
[00:15:39] Yeah.
[00:15:40] Yeah.
[00:15:41] Don't judge me.
[00:15:42] You know, in poetic lessons, you don't need to go to the DMB for it.
[00:15:48] Yeah.
[00:15:49] You don't apply for it.
[00:15:50] You don't have to go to school and get a degree to get some lessons to practice poetry.
[00:15:57] Right.
[00:15:58] Because sometimes that's like you're doing his practicing.
[00:16:01] You're just taking your pencil and you just draw an exit across the page.
[00:16:06] No.
[00:16:08] What he glacens is, it's free to those who wish to take advantage of it.
[00:16:16] Yeah.
[00:16:17] It's nice to see people at least taking advantage of it too.
[00:16:22] Sometimes for a while, they're poetry.
[00:16:24] You didn't hear much about it, but you're hearing more about it now.
[00:16:28] Or again.
[00:16:29] Yeah.
[00:16:30] That's it.
[00:16:31] Yeah.
[00:16:32] I think it's cool.
[00:16:33] Yeah.
[00:16:34] And then you can take poetry to an extreme also, which I have done once.
[00:16:38] And I mentioned this number of number of broadcasts ago.
[00:16:42] Yeah.
[00:16:43] Oh, and I had mentioned in Facebook post that I was writing another book.
[00:16:51] Which I have a number of rooms started.
[00:16:56] And it was going to be the fourth in the rhyme trilogy.
[00:17:01] Yeah.
[00:17:02] In a Facebook friend said, there are only three books in our trilogy.
[00:17:06] Nice said.
[00:17:08] Now this is a, I'm using poetry.
[00:17:10] Poetic license here.
[00:17:11] There's four.
[00:17:12] You just said, okay.
[00:17:15] Yeah.
[00:17:16] You see how easily it is?
[00:17:17] Yeah.
[00:17:18] It works.
[00:17:19] You can't argue with poetic license.
[00:17:22] No, you don't have to like it.
[00:17:24] But you can.
[00:17:25] That's a tough thing.
[00:17:26] Go on.
[00:17:27] Yeah.
[00:17:28] Oh, that's funny.
[00:17:30] Yeah.
[00:17:31] That's funny.
[00:17:32] This next poem is called Not Perfect.
[00:17:36] Yeah.
[00:17:38] Perfect way to follow up.
[00:17:40] So we're discussion we've had today day.
[00:17:42] Yeah.
[00:17:44] Not perfect.
[00:17:46] Not perfect, but willing.
[00:17:48] God continues instilling my soul constantly filling.
[00:17:52] I look at the skies, but tears from my eyes, answering my wise.
[00:17:57] Not perfect on this earth yet I have found my words that began with a burst.
[00:18:03] Not perfect today.
[00:18:04] So again, I pray I follow God's way.
[00:18:07] I am not perfect in my present life.
[00:18:10] And God's perfect in Jesus will lead me to perfection.
[00:18:15] Wow.
[00:18:18] And that is the third poem in a trilogy for today.
[00:18:27] And what God does for us?
[00:18:29] Yeah.
[00:18:30] I mean, we're not perfect.
[00:18:32] I'm not perfect.
[00:18:34] But God keeps instilling me with my soul with age filling me.
[00:18:41] And the tears when I have tears, while he answers my questions.
[00:18:45] Yeah.
[00:18:46] Not always when I want it, but when he knows I need it.
[00:18:50] Yep.
[00:18:51] I'm not perfect today, but I will one day be perfect.
[00:18:56] Right.
[00:18:57] That's my prayer today.
[00:19:01] Yeah.
[00:19:02] I like that a lot.
[00:19:05] Yeah.
[00:19:06] You just broke down a couple of days ago.
[00:19:09] Yeah.
[00:19:10] I did it.
[00:19:12] And it's, that's the one that the first line, not perfect to be willing, came to me a few weeks ago.
[00:19:22] And I wrote it down.
[00:19:24] Yeah.
[00:19:25] And kept it on the desk so that every time I sat down on the bed desk, I saw it.
[00:19:30] Right.
[00:19:33] And I was waiting.
[00:19:35] I debated both whether I wanted to, how what I could write about it.
[00:19:40] And if since I hadn't been writing lately, it was the time to do with.
[00:19:47] And after I wrote the previous poem, well, the previous poem came afterwards.
[00:19:53] Anyway, suddenly I decided to sit down and I prayed about it.
[00:20:02] And yeah, this was written after the previous poem.
[00:20:08] Yeah.
[00:20:09] And I thought, okay, you can do this too.
[00:20:12] Just ask for the help and guidance and I got it.
[00:20:16] Yeah.
[00:20:17] And it came out really, really well.
[00:20:18] I mean, really, really, really.
[00:20:19] Yeah, it is actually.
[00:20:23] And I was struggling out when I was starting writing after the second.
[00:20:29] And it stands out when starting to struggle with this thing a bit.
[00:20:33] And then as I wrote the next one, I said, there it's said, okay, there's another one.
[00:20:39] And then another one.
[00:20:41] And this last one was just more of a sentence that I wrote at the end.
[00:20:46] I am not perfect in my present life.
[00:20:48] But God is perfect in Jesus will lead me to my perfection.
[00:20:52] I just wrote it all like three lines poetry.
[00:20:55] But it was in the rhyme.
[00:20:57] I had time that was important.
[00:20:59] It was just a message.
[00:21:01] Yeah.
[00:21:02] And if that's right in, really, really, really, really well.
[00:21:05] Thank you.
[00:21:06] Wow, I'll get my mouth to work here eventually.
[00:21:08] Really, really, really well.
[00:21:09] That's really, really, really, really well.
[00:21:11] Really, really, really well.
[00:21:12] Yes.
[00:21:13] So like you've been hanging out with three year olds?
[00:21:19] Well, he get a lot of them on the bus, you know.
[00:21:22] It's amazing, amazing.
[00:21:25] Yeah.
[00:21:26] Yeah.
[00:21:27] Yeah.
[00:21:28] I'll tell you what.
[00:21:30] Beautiful.
[00:21:31] Yeah.
[00:21:32] I'm just like, I just, I get anything about kids on the bus.
[00:21:36] Okay.
[00:21:37] Well, there is a, now there is a poem.
[00:21:39] Yeah, kids on the bus.
[00:21:40] Yeah.
[00:21:41] Kids on the bus.
[00:21:42] A whole book.
[00:21:43] Oh, my goodness.
[00:21:44] Kids on the bus.
[00:21:45] Yeah.
[00:21:46] To be able to be a bus driver.
[00:21:47] Just think of the poems that are there.
[00:21:49] Oh, man.
[00:21:50] No, I don't have time for that.
[00:21:52] Okay.
[00:21:53] I don't actually, I don't have the ability for that.
[00:21:56] Well, you know, I had said years ago.
[00:21:59] Maybe one day we can talk about your experiences.
[00:22:02] Yeah.
[00:22:03] And I can go one step farther than the wheels from the bus go around and around.
[00:22:07] Right here.
[00:22:08] That's on a lot too.
[00:22:09] No wheels on the bus go around and around.
[00:22:11] All day long.
[00:22:13] Yeah.
[00:22:14] I hear that.
[00:22:15] It's been a lot.
[00:22:17] And it's one to hear it in different languages.
[00:22:20] Oh, I've never heard it in Spanish until just recently.
[00:22:25] And then the other day,
[00:22:28] I could swear it was Portuguese.
[00:22:31] Wow.
[00:22:32] One of my, one of my trainees he's from Ecuador.
[00:22:34] He just graduated yesterday.
[00:22:36] But he, he's pretty good with languages.
[00:22:39] That's, that's, that's Portuguese.
[00:22:42] Wow.
[00:22:44] I didn't know that was known around the world.
[00:22:46] I guess they're cool.
[00:22:49] Well, maybe they learned it.
[00:22:50] Maybe it's a free requisite when you bring kids to America.
[00:22:53] I don't know.
[00:22:56] But it sounds a free requisite when you take your children to Disney World.
[00:23:00] Yeah.
[00:23:01] That could very well be too.
[00:23:02] I don't know.
[00:23:03] But yeah.
[00:23:04] And if you know you're going to write a bus, you got to do something better to them.
[00:23:06] Yeah.
[00:23:07] But sides just give them your phone.
[00:23:09] Oh, my god.
[00:23:10] Yeah.
[00:23:11] I don't know any ways, but I'm not going to be there on that soapbox.
[00:23:13] No, I think all that down there.
[00:23:14] That's not good for it.
[00:23:15] But it's, it's got to just show you things in really fun ways on a bus some days.
[00:23:22] Yeah.
[00:23:23] I don't doubt it.
[00:23:24] Especially when it comes to children.
[00:23:26] Yep.
[00:23:27] They are, that's what, excuse me folks.
[00:23:31] That amazing is me.
[00:23:33] Children and you've talked about this before, especially about kids at church.
[00:23:39] How they're just so.
[00:23:42] They don't have any preconceptions or not afraid to express themselves when they're younger like that.
[00:23:48] And I think that that is so cool and I see that a lot every day at work is.
[00:23:54] Kids are going to express themselves with their mom and dad want them to or not.
[00:23:58] Yeah.
[00:23:59] Well, and it's come of it to, you know, the moms are help, you know,
[00:24:03] encourage them to move around and with music and.
[00:24:07] You know, what's a dance a little bit with the beat.
[00:24:10] But again, they just.
[00:24:12] They're so taken in with the music as part of the church service.
[00:24:16] Yeah.
[00:24:17] And they're at three or four years old.
[00:24:20] They're not.
[00:24:21] I'm looking at that.
[00:24:23] I see what I, what I hope that that does to them is that there are so.
[00:24:28] Happy to go to church because it makes them happy that as they get older.
[00:24:34] They go of course they go off to Sunday school.
[00:24:37] Right.
[00:24:38] And you know, they're going to learn about Jesus, but it's just the starting there with the songs get sent into it.
[00:24:46] Yeah.
[00:24:48] Are different than you and I were raised.
[00:24:50] What an end of what today's music that they're playing in the church is now, which is something that, you know,
[00:24:57] we've had a conversation about numerous times that I'm not used to that, but that makes it so much easier.
[00:25:02] It's so much easier for younger folks to really want to be involved.
[00:25:06] Yeah.
[00:25:07] And get involved and in a way that they can express themselves, which is so great.
[00:25:12] Yeah.
[00:25:13] Yeah.
[00:25:14] I really think that that is it's a great thing and music again.
[00:25:17] You and I both love music.
[00:25:18] Yep.
[00:25:19] It's another one of God's great gifts to us.
[00:25:23] Yeah.
[00:25:24] Yeah.
[00:25:25] Well, Dave.
[00:25:27] Yeah.
[00:25:28] Yeah.
[00:25:29] I have a we have a message to give toward listeners today.
[00:25:34] Yes, we do.
[00:25:35] We do.
[00:25:36] You want me to start?
[00:25:39] Yeah.
[00:25:40] You go with it.
[00:25:41] Okay.
[00:25:42] Well folks, Dave and I have talked about this.
[00:25:47] Give an example some thought and prayed about the podcast.
[00:25:53] And we have come to the conclusion that we have been led.
[00:26:01] That today will be our last podcast.
[00:26:06] We do not do this lightly and again, I want to mention tell you that we have prayed about it separately and together.
[00:26:16] And it's for the best at this point in our lives.
[00:26:21] And we are not, I think our listenership is down.
[00:26:26] I'm not sure about our viewership.
[00:26:29] But we want to be able to focus on our God's leading us.
[00:26:37] And I think we both think that there's something else there that we're being told to do.
[00:26:45] We did not regret anything that any time that we spent in these hundred broadcasts, hundred quad podcasts.
[00:26:52] Because it has not only brought Dave and I together again, but closer than we ever thought we would be.
[00:27:01] I'm sure.
[00:27:02] Yeah.
[00:27:03] And it's just wonderful to share your face with your brother.
[00:27:09] It is.
[00:27:10] Yes.
[00:27:11] It is a true blessing.
[00:27:12] Yes.
[00:27:13] And this podcast no matter how it ended, whether it would continue or if it ended as we're doing today.
[00:27:21] It has been a true blessing to both me and Dave to be able to share our faith.
[00:27:27] And our hope is that there are some people out there who have listened to me.
[00:27:34] Many have caught a podcast that we're talking about something that needs you to hear about the help them.
[00:27:41] Right.
[00:27:42] And but I can tell you that with all any doubt, the podcast has helped both Dave and me.
[00:27:51] There are some relationships.
[00:27:53] But again, we're looking at numbers and praying that there's something else there that God has.
[00:28:03] We can reach out to more people.
[00:28:08] And there are other things to do that other than writing poetry and doing a Christian podcast that we can be led to doing at this point in our lives.
[00:28:18] That's where we are.
[00:28:21] And again, we thank everyone who's listened or watched on YouTube.
[00:28:27] I especially want to thank those who watched on YouTube.
[00:28:30] But because they can see the space that goes with the voice.
[00:28:34] Yeah.
[00:28:35] You're watching.
[00:28:36] Yeah.
[00:28:37] So anyhow, this will be it and again, we want to thank everyone who's listened and watched and.
[00:28:45] We, you've been a blessing.
[00:28:51] Yeah.
[00:28:53] Yeah. And folks, I want to thank you to.
[00:28:55] I came to Tim with this idea a couple of years ago.
[00:28:59] We've been doing this for a couple of years straight and that's that's a lot.
[00:29:04] We've only taken four weeks off, Tim.
[00:29:07] And in my show, remember?
[00:29:09] Yeah.
[00:29:10] And that was just a rebrand and refresh.
[00:29:14] And I do believe.
[00:29:15] And Tim had mentioned this to me that there were other things he didn't want to explore.
[00:29:21] And I'm happy for that.
[00:29:23] And I'm wanting to do that more now myself too.
[00:29:26] But I, this has been a joy for me to get closer with my brother and the.
[00:29:30] The closer with God with my brother.
[00:29:32] I think that's fun.
[00:29:34] Again, I agree with Tim.
[00:29:36] I hope you got something out of this.
[00:29:39] Hey, you can still tell your friends about it and podcasts aren't going anywhere.
[00:29:45] There's still there.
[00:29:46] They'll be up forever.
[00:29:48] The website's going to stay up.
[00:29:50] So you can still contact us.
[00:29:52] It'll still go to go to our email level.
[00:29:55] If I get an email, I'll send it over to Tim.
[00:29:58] And we, you were still on Facebook.
[00:30:00] We're still around somewhere.
[00:30:03] But for right now, I do agree.
[00:30:05] I think it's, it's run it.
[00:30:08] I don't want to say run as course.
[00:30:10] But I think this is the perfect moment to step aside and see what we're going to do next.
[00:30:14] Yeah, it is.
[00:30:18] Yeah, and boy, it has been fun.
[00:30:20] That's yeah.
[00:30:21] Yeah, today, today's, especially was not what I thought it would be.
[00:30:28] No, it's been a wonderful time and I appreciate.
[00:30:34] You're asking me to do this and appreciate God leading me to say yes and leading us both in this thing.
[00:30:45] So yeah, it has been something I never would have thought of.
[00:30:50] But I'm glad that you did.
[00:30:53] Yeah, I am too.
[00:30:55] Okay. Well, he put it in my mind.
[00:30:57] So that's, that's my firm belief has got to put that in my mind.
[00:31:02] Yeah, I know you told me that earlier.
[00:31:04] Yeah, so I'm sure he did.
[00:31:06] Yeah.
[00:31:07] All right. Well, folks, I want to ask this one last time.
[00:31:11] Tim, you want to take us out with a prayer please?
[00:31:13] I would be happy to Dave.
[00:31:17] And now, I will say that as we come, you know, you're having a father.
[00:31:26] David, I thank you for the time you have given us to record these podcasts.
[00:31:31] Through this time, we have both experienced growth in our place and the need for you in our lives.
[00:31:36] We hope that we have been able to touch at least a few listeners when they need it to hear what you have done in our lives and the patience you have had.
[00:31:45] With us during this time and during this time and times before.
[00:31:53] We know that this is not the ends of your days of our days with you.
[00:31:58] We trust in you knowing that if we are open to you, to your will for our lives tomorrow, at its worst, will be better because of you, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
[00:32:10] We pray for those who have listened to a podcast or who are few.
[00:32:14] That they feel, that they feel their presence in their lives, meaning you, the Jesus, Jesus and the Holy Spirit in their lives.
[00:32:28] As they have given their lives to you, you are a mighty God, the one true God, your love is perfect.
[00:32:36] Thank you Father for your Son, Jesus and your Holy Spirit.
[00:32:40] Thank you for the blessing to you.
[00:32:42] Be still at us and pray in the name of Jesus.
[00:32:46] And again, remember the words from 2 Corinthians 129.
[00:32:52] What He said to me, my greatest submission for you, my power is perfect in a weakness.
[00:32:58] At the beginning, in at the end, every moment in between, may I strengthen for His strength.
[00:33:04] So His perfection may be seen.
[00:33:08] And then we pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, our Savior and the Redeemer, amen.
[00:33:15] Amen.
[00:33:17] And folks, this won't be the last time you ever hear this, but if you give Him the times, or as you give Him the times, His word runs.
[00:33:26] And also, please don't forget, we are the King's kids and you will never get rid of us, for we are His, which Jesus.
[00:33:35] God bless you all. Thank you for your support. We love you all. Have a good life.
[00:33:42] Bye bye folks and God bless for listening. Bye.
[00:33:47] Thank you.
